Laurea Stays was founded by Jake Leung, who runs the business from Brisbane and holds the Queensland real estate agent licence it operates under.

We did not arrive at short-stay management from a property franchise or a marketing background. We arrived at it by running short-stay apartments ourselves — furnishing them, pricing them, cleaning between guests, handling the 11pm messages, and learning exactly where the money is won and lost. Every property we take on is managed the way we manage our own.

That matters because short-stay is a different discipline to long-term letting. A long-term property is set once a year. A short-stay property is priced daily, presented professionally, turned over between every guest, and held to a public review score that follows it permanently. Treating the two the same is the most common way owners lose money on Airbnb.

Today we manage apartments across the Brisbane CBD, Fortitude Valley, Bulimba and North Stradbroke Island, handling everything from listing creation and dynamic pricing to guest screening, cleaning coordination, maintenance and trust accounting.
